DISCOUNTS FOR VETS

<><><><>

THE WISHING WELL BAR, PAULDEN

The Wishing Well Bar (located on the north side of Paulden, on the east side of SR 89) is offering a veterans discount - First drink is $1. It's about half way between Post 40 and Post 57.  The invite for Veterans follows:

Thanks so much for your reply! The address is 25995 N Hwy 89, Paulden, but the town is pretty small. When you come into town you will see a blue roofed store on your left (Depot 89), then a pink colored store also on your left (Paulden Park Place), then you pass under an overpass. Approximately one mile after the overpass on the right hand side there is a giant red bar on your right with Wishing Well painted on the fence-hard to miss. And no, I am not a member of the Post 40, but it is the only place within 40 miles of our bar that is set up just for vets, and I have met Amy the bar manager and have been there to see a band when it was open to the public.
I offer this discount because my grandfather was a 20 year Navy vet as well as a 10 year Army vet serving in WWII and Korea, my uncle was and Army vet from Vietnam, and my younger brother is a Marine. I love them all deeply and was raised with immense respect for what they did for us-I figure the least I can do is return the favor one small gesture at a time. Thanks again

TRAVELODGE - LAKE HAVASU CITY

Room discounts for veterans at the Travelodge in Lake Havasu City. They are located at  480 W. London Bridge Road., LHC. A note from their general manager follows:

JC from Havasu Travelodge!   Thank you for your services to our country. I will extend a special rate for all the Veterans that are going to be coming for any event in Havasu.  The special rate will be $59.95 all year around.  This means that, when the rates are very high for events and holidays, they will only pay $59.95 plus tax.  That is the least I can do to honor our heroes.  Please pass this information out to whoever is coming to Havasu and need accommodations.
Once again, thank you for your services to your country and our community.
Sincerely
JC

Home Depot - Help for Wounded Warriors

Through a generous contribution from Home Depot, Operation Homefront is now able to offer significantly more assistance to Wounded Warriors in need of home repairs, modifications, or appliances.
For a service member to qualify for these services, they must meet the following criteria:
 • The service member or veteran must own the home in question.
 • The service member or veteran must have sustained a wound, illness, or injury while deployed to an overseas combat area or to an overseas area in support of combat operations.
 • If a veteran, they must meet the criteria above and be within two years of discharge or retirement and have a pending claim for VA disability benefits.
 • Must not have the financial means to support the repairs themselves.

The above criteria are not all inclusive but provide the major eligibility areas. Additional eligibility will be applied during the application process.

It is their sincerest desire to continue to meet the needs of our wounded service members as they face new challenges in adapting to their lives as a Wounded Warrior. Operation Homefront, plans to continue to seek out partnerships that will allow them to do the most good for our Wounded Warriors who have sacrificed so much for our country. If you know of a Wounded Warrior who may benefit from these services, please refer them to Operation Homefront and suggest they submit an application for assistance. Applications can be submitted online at www.operationhomefront.net.
